TCA vs GLB

The game looked to be starting right for TCA as they nearly picked up the early first blood, they would have gotten away with it as well if not for a great escape by Plex for GLB.
GLB capitalised on this and took first blood for themselves as xami set his team up with an early lead in game one.
GLB had their fair share of the early game fights and carved out a small lead. Not taking this lying down however, TCA started to come back strong in the game, chipping away at the lead GLB had forged for themselves in the early game.

TCA started to swing the game in their favour with some great plays from Yoppa and with a deadly ult from, well, Deádly, TCA had set the stage and turned GLB over to grab the game one win.

Not to repeat the early failings of game one, TCA looked brighter in games two. They always looked to be slightly ahead in the 50/50 fights, as they looked to have the cutting edge in the game.
TCA’s early advantage continued into the latter stages of the game, with the team clearly having one eye firmly on their finals spot at London Comic Con.
They started to take the gold lead and snowballed this into the final stages as their carries became too strong for GLB to handle. TCA took the series 2-0.

MnM v Batmani Begins

Game one picks and bans
MnM had been one of the favourites going into the ESL UK Premiership season and in their first game of the split versus Batmani Begins, you could see why they had so much hype surrounding them.
MnM grabbed four kills in the opening moments of the game and it really set up the rest of the match.
Batmani did not sit on their hands, as they managed to grab a few vital kills but heading into the mid game MnM turned up the heat and began to push Batmani.
MnM extended their lead to over 15k as they pushed to end the game at the 22-minute mark.
Game two picks and bans
MnM looked to send a message to the rest of the Prem with game two over Batmani. A mid lane first blood trade from MnM followed by a kill in the top lane gave them the early advantage they wanted – and put them in the driver’s seat for game two.
It was all quiet on the rift for a while until MnM started a team fight in the mid lane, which saw them pick up four kills with no reply from Batmani, as they grabbed two mid towers to secure a 10k gold lead at 13 minutes.
It was another painful five minutes for Batmani as a dark night engulfed them in the shape of more death and destruction from MnM. They picked up 13 kills to only three in reply in a short space of time, exposing two inhibitors in the process.
MnM never stopped the pressure as they secured the 2-0 victory, pushing Batmani into the losers bracket.

Final thoughts

Group A drew to a close and MnM made a great start to group B. TCA won the group A lower bracket, taking them into the semi final versus Last Remedy, which will happen live at London Comic Con later this year.
MnM took their first steps to joining TCA and Last Remedy in London with their 2-0 victory over Batmani Begins, showing the sort of dominance that everyone expected them to show pre-tournament.

MVP of the Week: Yoppa

Two great performances from top-laner Yoppa set the standard for TCA as they overturned a small deficit in game one, going on to dominate in game two.
