The 2025 edition of the Esports World Cup is underway with hundreds of teams from around the world competing.
This year’s event will feature a record-breaking $70 million (£52m) prize pool spread across 25 different esports tournaments.
The largest contributor is the $27m (£19.9m) Club Championship, which rewards the best-performing organisation across all EWC events.
This championship causes teams to further invest in esports, expanding into new genres like FPS, MOBAs, or even mobile games.
And, ultimately, it determines who is the best esports team in the world.
You can find out what events are taking place when with the Esports World Cup 2025 schedule.
Otherwise, here is everything you need to know about the EWC 2025 Club Championship.
What is the EWC Club Championship?
The Esports World Cup Club Championship is a way to reward teams for investing in multiple esports.
A leaderboard is determined by the organisations that record the most high-place finishes across multiple EWC events.
The top 24 organisations that rack up the most club points will be awarded prize money from the $27m (£19.9m) pool.
That is, as long as those teams meet the Club Championship participation and winning requirements:
To place on the leaderboard, teams will need to reach the top eight in at least two competitions.
And in addition to that, teams will need to place first in at least one EWC event to be crowned Club Championship winners.
One-trick-pony organisations will receive nothing, and a team finishing second in everything cannot win the Club Championship.

- 3rd place – 500 Club Points
