GBR Charvas claim ENC Apex Legends spot after four-way British battle in EMEA Qualifier

Great Britain had four teams scrapping for ENC Apex Legends qualification in the EMEA Qualifier this last weekend. Of the four, it was GBR Charvas who emerged as the nation’s representative, finishing second overall in a fiercely competitive 20-team field.

The four-way British contest was arguably the most compelling storyline of the lobby. GBR Charvas, GBR Greats, GBR Creamers and GBR Flowstate all entered with ENC, beating through their respective brackets before reaching the finals.

GBR Creamers actually led all British sides in raw kill points with 36, the highest of any UK team in the lobby, but their place point total of just 12 dragged them down to fifth overall on 48 points. 

GBR Greats sat just above them in fourth on 50 points, combining 27 kill points with 23 place points for a more balanced showing. GBR Flowstate rounded out the British contingent in ninth place on 35 points, fighting hard across six games but unable to close the gap on the sides ahead of them.

It was GBR Charvas who got the blend right when it mattered. Thirty-two kill points paired with 35 place points gave them 67 overall, enough to finish second behind a dominant Poland side who ran away with the series on 81 points and were untouchable throughout. That second-place finish is what secures GBR Charvas as Great Britain’s ENC Apex Legends representatives. They’ll be the team representing Great Britain at the ENC squad in November, after mant of the players competing put GB as a guaranteed team to enter the event’s top flight.
