Team GB reveals Dota 2 roster for ENC

Great Britain’s Dota 2 roster has been confirmed ahead of the Esports Nations Cup 2026, with the squad set to battle through the EU West qualifier at the end of June in a bid to book their place at the main event.

Team Great Britain Dota 2 roster for ENC 2026

Great Britain’s Dota 2 squad consists of:

  • Robson “TeaGuvnor” Merritt
  • Simon Wharton
  • Elliott “Adzantick” Hammond
  • TheRceze
  • Moiez “symetricaL” Lin
  • meow_spirit – Coach

TeaGuvnor is the most recognisable name on the roster, having built a significant profile in the UK and international Dota 2 scene as both a player, coach, and analyst. Both he and Sym also took part in the Team England in the Commonwealth Esports Championships back in 2022 too.

There’s also Adzantic, who played for the likes of Into The Breach and Twisted Minds, and holds the distinction of being the only player to have won all three editions of the ESL UK Premiership through 2019-2020, which is a strong feat for any national scene.

In addition, there’s Simon Wharton, who sits in the British Esports Hall of Fame for some of the Dota 2 open events.

Unlike the Rainbow Six Siege and Rocket League squads, who are already confirmed for the main event, the Dota 2 team will need to qualify. They face the EU West qualifier at the end of June, with a place at the ENC main event on the line.

The ENC Dota 2 qualifier is scheduled for June 29, beginning at 16:00 BST. The tournament is a Double Elimination format, which ends on July 1st, with two teams qualifying for the ENC for Dota 2. The winner of this event will then meet two teams from other qualifiers, alongside 16 other direct invite teams, through ranking systems to finalize the full tournament later in the year.

The point ranking system is due to expire on June 7th, meaning we should have an idea of how all the national teams did and who is set to receive direct invites to the event. Direct invites are based on the five highest scoring players from each nation at the following tournaments: EWC, TI 2025, PGL Wallachia, Blast, ESL One Birmingham and Dreamleague. Given how small but strong the UK scene is, the chances are it won’t get a direct invite, but we wouldn’t bet against it making a decent run in the upcoming qualifiers.
