Imperial and Parivision booked the final two places in Stage 2 of the StarLadder Budapest Major on Thursday.
Dzhami ‘Jame’ Ali’s Parivision eliminated a disappointing Legacy from the Major, the highest-ranked team going into Stage 1.
One spot left, and it belongs to @parivisiongg!

Imperial book their place in Stage 2
Imperial were an outside shot to advance going into Stage 1, but what was not expected was that they would be the one Brazilian team to advance.
However, the team did not commit some kind of heroic run to get there. They beat the teams you would expect them to beat, and lost to the teams they were expected to lose to.
A 3-2 overall record is perhaps more reflective of a fortuitous draw.
An opening victory against Rare Atom, who would go on to be the first team eliminated from the Major, gave way to defeats to FlyQuest and Fnatic.
In the Best of 3s, the Brazilian roster once again played one of the weakest teams at the event, defeating The Huns 2-0.
The qualified after a 2-0 win over an understrength NRG, who played the Major with coach Damian ‘daps’ Steele, as Nick ‘nitr0’ Cannella missed the Major, expecting the birth of his child.
While FaZe and NiP failed against NRG in Bo1s, and Fnatic dropped a map to the NA roster, Imperial wasted no time in their contest.
A quick T-side start on Nuke bagged them a 6-6 half behind impact from Felipe ‘skullz’ Medeiros. Imperial would go on to close the map with five unanswered rounds on the CT-side, 13-8.
On Train, the map never threatened to be competitive. NRG’s T-side was easily dispatched as Imperial took a 10-2 halftime lead.
It was simply a matter of getting those three rounds they needed, something which came swiftly as Imperial targeted daps on B to get their first T-round on the board.
A skullz lurk and a B-execute gave Imperial the two rounds they needed as they progressed to Stage 2 of the Major, sending a valiant NRG home.
What seemed like a perfect start to their journey at the #BudapestMajor, ended in having to say goodbye at Stage 1.@nrgcs2, GGs, you've 100% made @nitr0 proud. pic.twitter.com/6X2uHu0v6z

Parivision prevail in Overtime again to send Legacy packing
Jame did nothing to fight the meme allegation that he is ‘Paid by the round’ in Parivision’s qualifying victory over Legacy.
After two Overtime victories over GamerLegion in the 1-2 matchups, Parivision once again closed a series in Overtime, defeating Legacy 19-16 on Dust 2.
Surviving three map and series points in the process, Jame has shown that his ability to gradually bleed out Tier 1 opposition is still alive and well in CS2.
A 6-0 start for Parivision on Ancient was ominous for Legacy. The team chose to start CT-side, but in doing so gave Parivision in the impetus early on.
A fightback gave Parivision a slim 7-5 lead, but Andrey ‘BELCHONOKK’ Yasinskiy had huge impact on the CT-side, getting Parivision over the line 13-9.
On Inferno, Legacy finally looked more like themselves as a 9-3 CT-sided start gave Parivision no hope for the second half, which was quickly converted 13-5.
Dust 2 had moments to regret for both teams, but it will be only Legacy left with bitterness as they exit the Major.
The team had two map and series points in regulation, and one more in overtime to convert the map, but fell short as Parivision closed out the map 19-16.
The result is a huge disappointment for Legacy after victory at the CS Asia Championships, a victory which was reinforced by a runner-up run at PGL Masters Bucharest.
The team were expected to easily advance from Stage 1, but underperformed almost across the board.
Bruno ‘latto’ Rebelatto stood out as an individual, but that supporting cast was missing, with star player Eduardo ‘dumau’ Wolkmer largely anonymous.
It's only Stage 1 of the #BudapestMajor and we've already got BANGER matches! 🔥@parivisiongg put up a show and deliver the final blow to @legacyggbr! pic.twitter.com/sDLQF2yKPc
