Bizarre KT Rolster slideshow interrupts Worlds broadcast

The broadcast of the League of Legends World Championship quarter-final between G2 and Top Esports was briefly interrupted when a bizarre slideshow presentation was shown on the broadcast.

The observers cut from a teramfight on top lane, cutting to a presentation entitled “Don’t be excited,” themed around KT Rolster.

As G2 fans lamented a dominant Game 1 showing from TES, who were inevitably marching to victory, the broadcast was interrupted.

For a brief moment, the broadcast cut away from the action to show a presentation themed around KT Rolster.

The presentation showed the first slide and previews of the others. The presentation seems to be a tongue-in-cheek guide to how to be a KT Rolster fan.

The first slide states, “So you want to be a KT fan…” with the next fan advising, “Rule 1: You do not believe in KT”, followed by “Rule 2: You do NOT believe in KT.”

The slides seem to parody the famous Fight Club rules, “You do not talk about Fight Club,” from the Chuck Palahniuk book and 1999 David Fincher film.

Rule 3 is “Don’t say the ‘E’ word”, cautioning players not to expect too much from a KT who have went undefeated so far at Worlds, going 3-0 in Swiss and demolishing CFO 3-0 in their quarter-final.

The next slide looks at “Some disappointments,” jokingly listing a plethora of KT Rolster’s historic struggles.

The presentation then moves on to a history lesson KT Rolster’s historic rosters, which is a history that until now had lacked a Worlds semi-final.

Despite multiple titles in the LCK, the win is the best result for KT Rolster internationally, but they may go even further if they can defeat Gen.G whom they recently played twice at the LCK Finals, winning the first series 3-2 and losing the lower bracket contest 0-3.

Initially presented on the broadcast without context, it seemed like the observer was randomly showing KT Rolster propaganda in the G2 vs TES quarter-final.

However, upon reflection of the contests, it seems that it was intended for a later broadcast, perhaps as a fun section in the semi-final previews.

Laure Valée has been a notable KT Rolster enjoyer, so perhaps she will be leading us through how to be a KT Rolster fan without losing our minds.

Laure’s love of KT has been a running joke for Los Ratones owner, Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont’s stream, committing to ‘hatewatching’ the LCK third seed.

However, with KT having historic success, the hatewatch isn’t going too well.
