KT Rolster dominated all three games as they swept CTBC Flying Oyster 3-0 to make the first Worlds semi-finals in their history.
The LCK team were superior in every position, showing dominance in both the micro and macro as they eliminated the LCP representatives.
CFO’s aggressive playstyle was completely contained by KT, who executed their game plan perfectly to avoid CFO getting opportunities to play their game.
Despite defeat, CFO can look back on the event as a positive step with their run marking the first return of the Pacific region to Worlds playoffs in a decade.

Game 1: KT Rolster neutralise CFO
Game 1 was a perfect display of counterplay for KT Rolster, as they prevented CFO’s clear goal of scaling Chiu ‘Doggo’ Tzu-Chuan’s Corki.
The LCK team laned got the upper hand all over the map in the early game, winning the laning phase significantly.
KT Rolster bogged Doggo down wherever he went, preventing him from scaling early.
Seo ‘deokdam’ Dae-gil and Jeong ‘Peter’ Yoon-su pushed CFO back in the early game, and when lane swaps occurred, Lee ‘PerfecT’ Seung-min was substantially ahead of his Top counterpart, giving KT Rolster advantages regardless of the lane swaps.
That dominance across the map prevented the early CFO aggression that has been the story of their worlds, giving KT key early objectives.
A series of fights gave KT more and more incremental advantages, until a Peter dive on bot showed that KT were fully in the driving seat.
With a gold lead of over 5k, the Baron spawn fight led to Doggo flashing onto deokdam in his characteristic manner, but while CFO found more opportunities to be aggressive later in the game, none of those moments shifted the momentum.
Upon the next dragon spawn, KT Rolster decisively put CFO away. After a one-for-one exchange, Gwak ‘Bdd’ Bo-sung’s flank removed a hurt CFO’s ability to retreat.
The result was a team ace, KT getting the Baron. They were soon looking for the finish.
That came as a desperate CFO dived on Bdd to try to find space, but in doing so, they left their backline isolated, and KT jumped on them to obliterate three champions in an instant.
The Nexus soon followed, as KT Rolster finished off a masterclass of limiting their opponent’s strengths.

Game 2: Utter domination
Game 2 followed that pattern set by Game 1. KT again were winning everywhere.
Bdd and Peter caught Tsai ‘HongQ’ Ming-Hong in mid-early to take control, with Ling ‘Kaiwing’ Kai Wing arriving too late.
It told the story that CFO could not live with the pace at which KT Rolster were putting together and executing coordinated plays.
The early engagement left CFO behind again, and as CS leads developed across the map, Bdd and Peter were free to pick their moments to push and punish CFO.
Peter’s Nautilus hook was consistently deadly throughout the match, isolating and banishing CFO’s champions.
With CFO’s lanes pushed back, PerfecT had a field day, allowing him to drift in the enemy jungle getting control of camps and territory.
KT’s gold gain quickly ballooned, as their careful aggression had led to a 5-0 scoreline in kills.
Moon ‘Cuzz’ Woo-chan’s Jarvan IV gave KT space for their third dragon, and CFO knew that a fourth could not be allowed.
CFO were behind everywhere, and had not recovered from even the early engagements. For example, HongQ’s Azir was notably weak and lacking items well after the 20-minute mark.
Two quick team aces at Atakhan, and then at the fourth Drake brought the game to a conclusion in only 25 minutes.
The game ended with only Doggo on CFO’s side getting a kill, with Cuzz, Bdd, and Peter all getting 15 assists or more.
Utter domination from the LCK contingent.

Game 3: KT complete a perfect series to make semis
KT Rolster’s preparation paid off again, as the Korean team clearly had a game plan to target HongQ early in the contest, who played his first Hwei of 2025.
The CFO mid-laner died in the initial team engagement, before dying mere moments later when isolated and unaware in the river.
Only a few minutes after that, bdd, Peter and Cuzz combined to catch HongQ away from his tower again on bot.
Yu ‘JunJia’ Chun-Chia finally had the impact he had throughout the tournament, as CFO began to fight back in the contest with two well-judged picks.
CFO finally got a definitive teamfight success at the third dragon on the contest, going three for one by punishing KT’s grouping with Hsu ‘Rest’ Shih-Chieh’s Rek’Sai having strong impact.
The pace accelerated relentlessly as KT caught CFO in mid and earned the momentum back.
Both teams immediately contested Atakhan, with CFO choosing not to start the objective. KT pounced on CFO in the jungle, as the Taiwanese team split up.
The rosters took a breath as they awaited the Baron and Dragon spawn, with KT already on Soul point.
Again, KT managed to split CFO apart in the following fight at Baron, with deokdam, Peter, and PerfecT blowing CFO away.
The dragon followed with another dominant teamfight, and KT made it to the semi-finals.

KT Rolster to face Gen.G rematch – Can they do it?
KT Rolster made organisational history with the 3-0 series victory. They are rewarded with a semi-final against regional rivals Gen.G.
KT defeated Gen.G 3-2 in a hugely unexpected win in the LCK playoffs that led them to Worlds. Now, after a 3-0 Swiss Stage and a 3-0 quarter-final victory, could it be a miracle run for KT?
While KT may look at that Gen.G win as proof that they can win, Gen.G defeated KT 3-0 in the lower bracket in a demonstrative fashion.
CFO’s history Worlds comes to an end
For CFO, it was the Pacific region’s first playoff berth in a decade. They are already heroes of their region for making it to playoffs.
While they fell against KT Rolster, their improvement has been exponential in 2025. If they continue their path, they could well return to Worlds playoffs sooner rather than later.
The team was blown away today, but they have defeated Fnatic, T1, and FlyQuest at this event, and took a game against AL.
Doggo has especially been one of the biggest stars of the event. Their run has been hugely entertaining, and their unrelenting aggression has won CFO many fans from all over the LoL world.
