Although the new Valorant Agent has yet to be revealed, leaks and rumours are already circulating regarding their name, origin, and abilities.
What do we know is true so far about the new Agent 29, and what is still speculation?
What we know: the new Valorant Agent’s widely accepted class, origin, and codename
There are specific details about the new Valorant Agent that have been accepted as almost certainly accurate, rather than being speculation.
Riot Games has perfected the art of leaving lore breadcrumbs for the community to find and decipher. Standouts so far this year include the many hidden details in the Ego Valorant music video, which explores the Agents’ motivations to succeed in their difficult role.
The lead-up to the new Agent has been just as delightfully challenging to decode.
Firstly, the new Valorant Agent is joining the Sentinel class. He will sit alongside Killjoy, Cypher, Sage, Chamber, Deadlock, and Vyse, with a focus on defensive play, intelligence, and anchoring.

Additionally, he was identified as having a code name, “Morph.” However, this is not confirmed to be his final in-game Agent name. Thanks to Valorant’s Agent teaser card, dedicated lore experts have determined that “Morph” is from Senegal, Africa.
The teaser card included a set of Senegalese coordinates. Therefore, fans have come to the likely accurate conclusion that these represent the Agent’s origins.
We also know that the New Valorant Agent will be officially introduced at the Valorant Champions Tour Paris Grand Final, taking place on October 5th.
Lore introduced in recent cinematics and in-game information discusses a new mystery figure who will be working with the Valorant Protocol at the in-universe Paris First Light Expo. It is strongly suggested that this mystery figure is “Morph”.
Given the connection in location, VCT Paris is the ideal time for the announcement. A new lore cinematic and the new Agent reveal are both scheduled for Saturday and Sunday’s VCT Champions weekend.

What name and ability leaks are circulating about the new Valorant Agent?
Leaks and rumours appear to have revealed the real name and abilities of “Morph.” An image of in-game text (translated from Mandarin) describes him as “a suppression-type hero who has gained extraordinary powers doe to genetic mutation.” It also calls the Agent “Jimmie.”
He is also portrayed as a major threat to his opponents: “When Jimmie appears on the battlefield, your marksmanship is your only guarantee of survival.”
This suggests some removal of the effects of other Agents’ abilities.

Additional leaks suggest that the new Valorant Agent’s abilities are as follows:
C: Vortex Teleport
Place an energy ball and reactivate to teleport
Q: Slime trap
Snares enemies and deafens enemies, but can be destroyed before it activates
E: The Phage
Destroys enemy gadgets and deployables that can be damaged by gunfire
X: Mutated form
Health regeneration, improved combat, and immunity to debuffs.
Furthermore, the new leaks suggest that the Agent’s true in-game name is “Veto.”
Despite this new information sounding exciting, these leaks are not as well-backed by Riot Games’ lore-building and will rely on the accuracy of the leaks’ source. Therefore, the suggested name and abilities should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Nevertheless, fans do not have long to wait before all is to be revealed.
