Mbappe and Salah officially best EA FC 26 players while Yamal gets major upgrade

EA Sports has announced the official ratings of the highest-rated players for EA FC 26 Ultimate Team.

EA showcased the top 26 men and top 26 women for the game, excluding retired Icons like Zlatan Ibrahimović.

It appears that the EA FC 26 leaked ratings were accurate, at least from what has been shown so far.

And now it has been confirmed that Mohamed Salah and Kylian Mbappe are the highest-rated male players in the game.

Mbappe and Salah are both rated at 91 overall, with Mbappe the fastest-revealed player so far with 97 pace.

Thibaut Courtois, Allison Becker and Gianluigi Donnarumma at 89 overall are the high-rated goalkeepers.

Meanwhile, there is a five-way tie for the next best player at 90-rated, and this is where the controversy begins.

EA has given 90 ratings to Ousmane Dembélé, Rodri, Virgil van Dijk, Erling Haaland, and Jude Bellingham.

Many were shocked to see Rodri maintain such a high rating after not playing for all of last season.

And Barcelona fans are livid that cover-star Bellingham has been rated higher than the 89-rated Pedri.

Though they’ll at least be delighted to see that 18-year-old Lamine Yamal has been given a major upgrade.

Yamal started EA FC 25 as an 81, went up to 86, and now, in FC 26, is 89 overall.

For context, Ultimate Team didn’t exist then, but Messi was 78-rated in FIFA 06 when he was 18.

However, many are furious that Harry Kane has been downgraded from a 90 to an 89 despite having over 40 goals and assists last season.

However, EA has at least awarded Kane with the highest overall shooting stat at 92, while Haaland has 91 and Mbappe has 90.

With the game releasing soon, a lot more information is coming out, including the highest-rated teams in EA FC 26.

EA has also revealed the top 26 women on Ultimate Team who will compete with the men’s cards.

Spain’s Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí join Mbappe and Salah at the top with ratings of 91.

Six of England’s Lionesses, who defeated Spain in the Euros 2025 final on penalties, also made the top 26.

Striker Alex Russo is at the top with an 89 rating and 88 shooting.

While Chelsea’s Lucy Bronze, Manchester City’s Lauren Hemp and Arsenal’s trio of Chloe Kelly, Leah Williamson, and Beth Mead all got an 87 rating.
