Battle of Malta Online Series adds $1M CoinMillion satellite push on CoinPoker

CoinPoker has outlined the opening qualification phase for its Battle of Malta Online Series, with satellite events into the $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion beginning on July 3.

The online festival runs from July 12 to August 3 and carries $30 million in guarantees across 23 days of tournament play, according to CoinPoker. The CoinMillion will be one of the early headline events, with Day 1 scheduled for July 12 and Day 2 set for July 13.

The qualification schedule includes free Step 4 satellites, lower-cost step events, and direct satellites into the $215 CoinMillion. At least 1,024  seats will be awarded through the satellite campaign.

Free Step 4 satellites will run three times per day between July 3 and July 12, awarding between 20 and 75 seats into Step 3 events. Step 3 satellites start from $0.10, while Step 2 satellites range from $0.55 to $4.40.

Direct Step 1 satellites into the CoinMillion range from $5.50 to $44. These will run seven times per day from July 3 and nine times on July 12. The largest direct satellite listed in the announcement is a July 12 event with a $25 buy-in and 100 guaranteed CoinMillion seats.

The CoinMillion itself will feature a 100,000-chip starting stack, equal to 200 big blinds at the opening level, along with Bubble Protection, Final Table Blind Rollback, deal making, and unlimited re-entries through Level 16.

The event follows the previous $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion during World Poker Masters, which drew 4,278 entries. That tournament was won by DaniC1994, who collected $126,500.

Beyond the CoinMillion, the Battle of Malta Online schedule includes the $565 Battle of Malta Main Event with a $2.5 million guarantee. The $55 Main Challenger and $11 Main Crusader bring the combined Main Event guarantees to $3.1 million.

The release has also outlined that the series will award 100 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition packages, each valued at $2,500, along with 77 physical trophies for selected event winners. The final weekend is scheduled to include $10 million in guaranteed prizes across 120 events.
