This year’s Game Awards will be livestreamed on Prime Video for the first time alongside its usual Twitch broadcast.
The annual award show will stream live from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre on December 11th between 5-8pm PT (1am-4am GMT December 12th).
This is the first time the show, launched back in 2014, has been broadcast on a streaming service.
The 2025 Game Awards will be broadcast on Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories

Last year’s edition reached more than 154 million livestreams across all platforms.
In addition to Amazon-owned Twitch and Prime, the Game Awards will also be broadcast on YouTube, Twitch, X, TikTok and some platforms in China.
As usual, this year’s Game Awards will premiere new games, showcase major announcements, and feature live performances.
As well as celebrate this year’s best games, the 2025 Game Awards will also celebrate the best esports players and teams.
“We’re thrilled to bring our global celebration of video games to even more audiences with the addition of Prime Video,” said Geoff Keighley, Creator and CEO of The Game Awards.
Keighley added that “Prime Video is a natural home for our show,” with Season 2 of the Fallout adaptation releasing on the platform soon.
Additionally, the 2025 Game Awards will also be livestreamed on Twitch in 2K (1440p) for the first time, with thousands of creators allowed to co-stream.
Last year’s awards had more than 11,000 creators restream the broadcast, and even more may this year with Twitch’s new co-stream feature.
Also, Twitch Drops with exclusive in-game items and a limited-edition TGA badge will be available to viewers who watch 30 minutes or more on Twitch.
Details on specific rewards will be confirmed closer to the show’s air date in December.

The Game Awards 2025 will feature three esports categories:
- Best Esports Athlete
- Best Esports Team
- Best Esports Game
Last year, League of Legends won the Best Esports Game at the 2024 Game Awards.
Meanwhile, the Best Esports Athlete went to Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok while his organisation, T1, won Best Esports team.
Faker defeated stiff competition in the category with rival LoL midlaner Jeong ‘Chovy’ Ji-hoon nominated as well as Counter-Strike 2 icon Mathieu ‘ZyWoO’ Herbaut and Valorant Champions 2024 winner Zheng ‘ZmjjKk’ Yongkang
The T1 star could win Best Esports Athlete again as Faker and T1 won a third consecutive LoL Worlds title by defeating KT Rolster.
