Esports News UK is teaming up with Sweet Cabin to host a special AGON by AOC UK Esports Christmas Party.
It will feature a League of Legends jungle clear challenge, with prizes up for grabs, as well as goodies for the best Christmas jumper on the night.
The event will take place at Platform gaming bar, 2b Worship St, London, EC2A 2AH on Monday December 5th 2022 from 6.30pm GMT until 11pm.
Tickets to the event are free and are available strictly on a first come first served basis – once they’re gone, they’re gone. You can sign up via Eventbrite here. (sign-ups now closed as the event is now over – see a recap vid below and an image gallery here).
The event will bring the UK esports industry together to celebrate Christmas, with good food and drink including a free glass of prosecco and pizzas for everyone.
With jungle companions hitting the rift and Riot Games announcing other changes to the jungle, we’re challenging attendees on the night to full-clear the jungle the fastest in League of Legends. And AGON by AOC will be giving a monitor away to whoever records the fastest time.
Other prizes will be up for grabs including sweets from Sweet Cabin for the best Christmas jumper. Feel free to share your photos using the hashtag #AOCXmas on Twitter on the night!
The event also marks an extension of a collaboration between Esports News UK founder Dom Sacco and Sweet Cabin founder and Hotdrop head of social media Nathan Edmonds, who have made The Boomer & The Zoomer esports podcasts in the past.
Nathan Edmonds said: “I’m personally delighted to be teaming up with ENUK to create a memorable evening to celebrate UK esports. Dom and I have been friends for many years now so it’s great to finally have an excuse to collaborate together on something! Look forward to seeing (and hugging) you all on the 5th.”
Nicolò Portunato, Platform co-founder, said: “We are delighted to partner for a second event with ENUK alongside Sweet Cabin & AOC to celebrate Christmas with the industry. Expect some great gaming activities and challenges alongside pizza and drinks. A big thank you Dom for hosting the event at Platform again.”
The news comes after Esports News UK held two sold-out events at Platform in recent weeks – a 7th birthday networking drinks and 2v2 LoL tournament, plus a Worlds 2022 viewing party.
