The Rainbow Six Jönköping Major is fast approaching, bringing together some of the world’s best Rainbow Six teams and talent. We list them all in this preview, including some of Siege’s UK esports stars.
When does the Six Jönköping Major start?
Ubisoft has this week announced that the upcoming Six Jönköping Major, one of the biggest international events in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, will take place from Monday November 21st to Sunday November 27th 2022.
The competition will begin with the Group Stage, from November 21st to 23rd.
The top eight teams will qualify for the playoffs, to be played from November 25th to 27th, in front of a live audience.
To coincide with the tournament, the full content for Year 7 Season 4 of Siege will be revealed on November 21st.
Where will the Six Jönköping Major take place?
The group stage will be featured in a studio environment in Stockholm, Sweden.
Then, the playoffs will be played from November 25th to 27th in front of a live audience at one of the largest esports festivals, DreamHack Winter, in the Elmia Congress Center in Jönköping, Sweden.
Rainbow Six Siege fans attending the event will have access to all the activities at DreamHack Winter alongside those organised for the Six Major, including a merch store, meet and greets with professional players, demo booths and more.
Which teams are competing at the Six Jönköping Major?
16 teams across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America will compete for the title and $500,000 prize money.
As the final Six Major of the season, this will be the last chance for teams to score points in the Global Standings to qualify for the Six Invitational 2023.
UK esports organisations include MNM Gaming and Wolves Esports. MNM have UK players Tyrant, Neonical and Yuzus, while Heroic have Grizzly.

UK talent includes host Iain Chambers, analyst Fresh and caster Fluke (who was awarded the Best LGBTQ Contribution to Esports award earlier this year).
Sadly, much-loved UK caster duo Dezachu and AceOfPyrite will not be at the Major due to Pyrite’s ongoing health issues:
