British Formula 1 driver and streamer Lando Norris is bringing his Quadrant gaming brand into the 2021 Halo Championship Series (HCS).
Lando Norris set up Quadrant a year ago as mainly a streaming content creation team – now it’s taken the plunge into esports and will be taking part in the HCS 2021 Kickoff Major in North Carolina this week.
Quadrant has signed its first esports team, an all-French Halo roster comprising TchiK, SLG, Nurix and Fragxr, who competed for OEX in the qualifying stages of the upcoming event and will now be representing the UK organisation.
The HCS Kickoff Major takes place from December 17th to 19th 2021 and features a $250,000 prize pool, plus a string of well-known organisations taking part including G2, Faze, Optic, Cloud9, Navi and more.
Quadrant has qualified as the second seeded team in the tournament, which features some UK players in Snipedrone (playing for Cartel – who recently won the first EU Halo Infinite tournament), Jimbo, Respectful and tuf0xy (Navi) and Riotz, Ramirez and Phlux (HMDA).

The news comes after Halo Infinite recently launched with a strong esports push, including partnerships with ESL/DreamHack and Faceit, a starting prize pool of $3m and more.
The Halo season will continue with other majors in Kansas, the Valencia EU Regional and Orlando, culminating with the Halo World Championship 2022 event in Seattle next October.

Quadrant currently has 90,000 followers on Twitter, while Lando himself has more than 1m followers on Twitch.
Lando Norris has taken part in a variety of streaming activities on Twitch, including a Mind charity stream with McLaren and Ian Wright and a Star in a Reasonably Fast Car Invitational with Top Gear.
