Some of the top casting and hosting talent from UK League of Legends esports, including those from the UKLC and Northern Europe NLC, have been called up to the higher-tier LEC as guest casters.
Riot Games announced its 2021 LEC Summer Season broadcast line-up this afternoon, and there’s a host of UK scene talent getting their big break. They’ve put in years of hard work at the European Regional League (ERL) level, so it’s great to see them to get the chance on the big stage they deserve.
This includes British talent Jamada, Hiprain, Foxdrop and Excoundrel (with the latter two joining the LEC broadcast a few times in the Spring 2021 Season), as well as Danish caster Guldborg and Greek caster Troubleinc.
You can see more UK LoL casters in our recent NLC, UKLC and UKEL Summer 2021 roster roundup article.
Other well-known UK esports talent in the LEC includes Machine, and existing core LEC casters Medic, Vedius and Caedrel, who stepped back as a pro player late last year to focus on broadcast work and streaming.
Well-known journalist and content creator Ashley Kang has also joined the LEC broadcast line-up.
“Some of these guests may be familiar to fans of the European Regional Leagues and European Masters. We want to bring more of the incredible talent from outside of our usual roster into the fold and show off their skills on one of the biggest stages in Europe.”

All of these of course join existing core LEC casters and hosts, Sjokz, Laure Valée, Quickshot and Daniel Drakos.
Riot said in a statement on its Lolesports website: “Some of these [new] guests may be familiar to fans of the European Regional Leagues and European Masters. We want to bring more of the incredible talent from outside of our usual roster into the fold and show off their skills on one of the biggest stages in Europe.
“This will also provide us with a wider perspective on the games, and give the ERL and EUM casters the opportunity to learn from the best. We’ll be mixing the LEC and ERL casters more often to help spread the workload of such a busy season, as well as giving the guest casters and our core team a chance to learn from each other and share experiences alongside a different set of voices.”
Riot added it has more ‘wild ideas’ planned for the Summer 2021 Season, hinting that this may not be the final broadcast line-up.
The news comes after Ender walked away from the LEC broadcast team and moved back to the US earlier this year.
Esports News UK was sad not to see Frankie Ward and Aux also included within the line-up, and we hope the scene doesn’t forget them amongst the excitement of today’s announcement. Frankie had appeared a few times as a guest host on the LEC, while Aux has experience working as a caster the UKLC and NLC. We hope to see Frankie and Aux in the LEC in the future.
The LEC Summer 2021 Season gets underway this Friday (June 11th) from 5pm BST on lolesports.com and the LEC Twitch channel.
