Resident Evil 3
This game is actually out now. As a remake of the game from 1999, it follows Jill Valentine (pictured) as she tries to escape from the worsening zombie apocalypse. She also needs to try and escape from the clutches of Nemesis.
It takes a very similar form to some of the other Resident Evil remakes and adopts the approach of a third-person shooter. There is even an online multiplayer mode as well. You need to create enemies and then try and defeat them.
Persona 5 Royal
This has been a franchise in Japan for quite some time – and a series that also really captivated gamers from the West. They have sold millions of copies over the years and the game has also gone on to achieve a strong level of critical acclaim. It is set in Tokyo and you play as Joker, a student who has been accused of assault.
He never committed the crime, but one thing that you should know about Joker is that he is also a superhero. He needs to try and invade the minds of adults. If you think this sounds strange, then you’d be right. It’s also a lot of fun and it’s worth giving it a go.
Cricket World Cup 2020 Australia
This game gives you the chance to play as all of your favourite cricket players. You can progress through to the cup until you are able to reach your goal of finally being able to lift the trophy.

Minecraft Dungeons
The game Minecraft is known for letting you build and do just about anything you need. The spin-off game, Minecraft Dungeons, follows a very similar theme. It’s a dungeon crawler game and it’s your job to explore the randomly generated environment.
Marvel’s Avengers
It’s surprising it’s taken this long to come out with a full Marvel Avenger’s game on consoles. This game is being produced by Crystal Dynamics who are known for the Tomb Raider franchise. It is going to feature some of the same characters that you love from the series including Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man and even Black Widow. They are not voiced by the same actors from the films however.
With so many games coming out aside from these five, it’s safe to say that there’s so much potential for this year’s gaming industry. A lot of people are hyped about the games that are coming out and it isn’t hard to see why.
The upcoming releases are likely to have a big impact, especially given the current situation with many gamers indoors looking for new releases to try.
