Esports News UK is looking for motivated and ambitious sales executives to help take the publication to the next level.
This is a part-time, paid role that offers a great opportunity for someone who is looking to further their skills and experience in esports while getting rewarded for it.
It’s ideal for someone up and coming, either at university or a graduate who is looking for part-time or freelance work to earn them some additional income, but is of course open to more experienced sales execs too.
The role is purely commission-based and does not have a set salary, so the sky is the limit for whoever lands the role.
As sales executive, you will manage Esports News UK’s client services, such as selling advertising space, bespoke campaigns, competitions and sponsored articles, as well as some other exciting new developments on the site to be announced later this year.
t will involve pitching to potential clients and building relationships.
An understanding of esports/video games, the brands in this space and Esports News UK is essential. The successful applicant will work closely alongside the editor and will have a real chance to shape the future of Esports News UK.
e’re looking for someone who is reliable, hard-working, easy to work with and takes instructions well.
o apply, please send your CV to editor Dom Sacco along with any relevant experience and reasons why you should be considered for the role.
Dom said: “Esports News UK is at a pivotal point right now. It’s been a labour of love that I’ve run in my spare time for almost four years now, and with twins on the way later this year, it’s make or break time.
“The plan is for the site to generate enough income, so we can hire an editor to look after the site properly and populate it with more content. This will allow me to move into a senior management/publisher position as my time will be even more limited in the future.
“This site has real potential, we had a sales manager in the past and we delivered some great results for several clients, but it’s one of many brands he looked after and we need to find someone more dedicated to the site now. I hope that person is you! I look forward to hearing from you.”

As a long-time gamer having first picked up the NES controller in the late ’80s, he has written for a range of publications including GamesTM, Nintendo Official Magazine, industry publication MCV and others. He worked as head of content for the British Esports Federation up until February 2021, when he stepped back to work full-time on Esports News UK and offer esports consultancy and freelance services. Note: Dom still produces the British Esports newsletter on a freelance basis, so our coverage of British Esports is always kept simple – usually just covering the occasional press release – because of this conflict of interest.
