UK League of Legends jungler Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian (right) has been linked with Misfits, according to a new rumour.
If true, this will see him reunite with top-laner Barney “Alphari” Morris (left). They were teammates together when they played in the UK scene, winning the ESL Prem with Team Infused and the PGL Legends of the Rift tournament.
ESPN reported the rumour, having suggested that Misfits will terminate its agreement with their current jungler Lee “KaKAO” Byung-kwon.
“The team is also in the process of finalizing an offer for a new jungler, likely to be Nubar “Maxlore” Sarafian of seventh-place Team ROCCAT, according to sources,” ESPN said in its report.
ROCCAT and Misfits have not officially commented on the matter.
KaKAO signed for Misfits in December 2016.
Alphari has been with Misfits’ League of Legends team since day one. He played for the team in the UK scene last year, under the Renegades Banditos branding, before they found new owners and rebranded to Misfits.
After winning the ESL UK & Ireland Premiership, they then progressed to the EU Challenger Series and qualified for the EU LCS straight after.
Maxlore joined Roccat earlier this year.
