Manchester City Esports has launched a new Rocket League decal and goal celebration ahead of its appearance at the 2026 RLCS Paris Major.
On the morning after the football club lost away at AFC Bournemouth to hand Arsenal their first league title in 22 years, the club revealed a shiny blue car adorned with its crest to help ease the pain. That, and the club’s crest bulging out of the goal when you score in-game.
The decal is now available on the Rocket League store as part of the RLCS Paris Major sets, in which City will compete for the first time. The team qualified after finishing fifth in the European rankings from the Paris Major Open.
The skin and celebration are universal, meaning players can apply them to any car in the game after purchasing them. The decal and goal celebration can be used in both casual and competitive Rocket League matches once selected in a player’s garage.
If retail therapy’s your go-to after the bitter disappointment, then the club has also revealed its home jersey design for the 2026-2027 campaign, too, days before Pep Guardiola’s final game in charge of the club. Perhaps there’ll be swathes of fans up and down the country sitting in full kit, flaunting the new Rocket League skin too. Shinpads, studs, and a PS5 controller could be the new trend.
City’s Rocket League roster for the event in Paris includes Ejby, Accro, and Seikoo. As part of the announcement, City revealed that each player will use both the decal and the goal celebration during the Paris Major.
The decal costs 300 in-game currency, while the goal explosion costs 500. In monetary terms, the set comes in at under £7.99 as UK buyers can purchase 1,100 credits for £7.99.
City fans will be hoping that Ejby, Accro, and Seikoo can go one better than the likes of Haaland, Cherki, and co who have fallen agonisingly short this year. Who needs the Premier League when the RLCS is on, anyway?
