Overwatch 2 will have a dedicated spotlight at Blizzard Showcase 2026

The 2026 Blizzard Showcase is starting soon, and now Blizzard has unveiled the full schedule, including an Overwatch 2 show.

This year’s iteration will celebrate the publisher’s 35th anniversary and offer fans a preview of upcoming plans for its collection of games.

As well as Overwatch 2, the showcase line-up also includes World of Warcraft, Diablo IV, and Hearthstone.

According to Blizzard’s official blog, the showcase will consist of developer-led spotlights full of announcements, sneak-peaks, and teasers.

The livestreams will be available on the official YouTube and Twitch channels of each game.

The Overwatch 2 Spotlight specifically will take place on Wednesday, February 4th at 6PM GMT.

Last year’s show revealed major updates for the game, including hero bans, playable character Aqua, and the popular Stadium game mode.

A new hero hasn’t been added to the game since November 17th with the release of Vendetta in Overwatch 2.

The reveal, or at least a teaser, for Overwatch 2’s 46th hero feels like a safe bet.

It’s also expected that major gameplay changes will be revealed for the game in the 10th year of the Overwatch franchise.

Overwatch 2 Game Director Aaron Keller claimed 2026 will be “bonkers” for the game.

He states that the upcoming changes will be even wilder than the addition of perks, stadium mode and the return of 6v6.

The YouTube description reads “See What’s Next for Overwatch,” not specifying Overwatch 2.

There have been long-standing rumours that Overwatch 3 is being actively worked on with job listings for the upcoming title.

However, this is expected to be a mobile version of the popular shooter to rival Valorant Mobile.

Blizzard Showcase 2026 UK schedule

There are four ‘Spotlights’ planned for this year’s Blizzard Showcase with teasers and updates galore.

Each will be posted on the respective game’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

Here is the full Blizzard 2026 schedule (with UK times):

• World of Warcraft ‘State of Azeroth’ – January 29th, 2026, at 5PM GMT
• Overwatch 2 ‘Spotlight’ – February 4th, 2026, at 6PM GMT
• Hearthstone ‘Spotlight’ – February 9th, 2026, at 5:30PM GMT
• Diablo IV ’30th Anniversary Spotlight’ – February 11th, 2026, at 10:00PM GMT

This will later be followed up by the return of Blizzon in September 2026 after the convention skipped the last two years.
