Method, Echo and Liquid, the three big competitive raiding guilds in World of Warcraft, have announced plans around the latest Race to World First: Liberation of Undermine.

The new raid opens on March 4th 2025 on normal, heroic and mythic difficulty, so expect guilds to have a crack at normal and heroic before diving into mythic right away. It’s of course set in the latest War Within expansion.

Method announce raiders, casters and partners for RWF Liberation of Undermine broadcast

First up, let’s look at UK esports organisation Method. The holder of many former world-firsts who are working hard to try and claim their first in six years (their last world-first kill was of Queen Azshara in 2019, if our records are correct).

Casters include DarkMech, Krista, Lorgokz, Purke, Roiben, Shejkin and Brits MrGM and RageDarling.

Method’s player line-up consists of tanks Nate and Skövte, healers FTM, Crystallize, Surarn, Thaner and Skånerost, and DPS Kina, Bangerz, Huntoper, Jaerv, Koltra, Kwepp, Raime, Matteo, Spen, Uggz, Verb, Wildi, Nalle, Heleni, Pricey, Uniq, Moet, Danwarr, Faithy, Fragnance, Nurseos, Insi and Sjeletyven.

14 of Method’s raiders this time around will be playing at 1337 Camp live. These are:

Method founder and CEO Scott ‘Sco’ McMillan said in a video: “This could be a really big one for us, so preparation from the guild side of things has been really good, the behind-the-scenes team and analysts have been really solid, and our roster has got even stronger from last time.

“We had some big pickups. Thaner rejoined us from Echo, our healing roster is looking really good, and we also got Skövte and other strong recruits. So the guild is looking super solid and I’m really excited to see what we can do in this Race to World First, it could be the turning point for us between four and a half years of building the guild up until this point.

“I think everyone is really excited to get into this one and see how we perform. It could be a tipping point for us. This Race to World First could be a monumental one for us.”

Sco also spoke about the broadcast levelling up, showing raidframes on the caster ident, ‘which will help show important things and make it a better viewing experience’, and how Method are growing their website to cover other games.

Method are also undergoing their first fundraising round.

“It’s the first time we’re looking to accept investment into Method. It’s to bolster our current operations but it’s also to take Method down an exciting new avenue as well.”

Scott ‘Sco’ McMillan, Method

“We’re having some good conversations and we have several angel investors that are committed as well, so things are shaping up to be really good.”

“I think 2025 is going to be a great year for Method. It’s my lifelong passion to get Method back to competing for that world first title. And I think we’re really close now.

“It’s been a lot of work from a lot of people rebuilding the [Method] guild. I want to take this moment to thank you all for your continued support.”

This latest RWF event comes after Method finished third in the Race to World First for Nerub’ar Palace, the most recent race.
