As the official automotive partner of all global League of Legends Esports events, Mercedes-Benz will accompany Worlds 2024 from Berlin via Paris to the Final in London.

The new trophy carrier of the Summoner’s Cup is the new electric G-Class. It will transport the trophy to the Worlds 2024 Final in November taking place in London.

The trophy carrier is a unique vehicle, equipped by the in-house Manufaktur customisation programme, boasting unique personalisation options as well as exclusive paint finishes and interior parts.

The G‑Class features a Worlds logo stitched on the head cushions, and it has a uniquely manufactured trunk module to safely transport the Summoner’s Cup.

Besides presenting the trophy carrier, Mercedes-Benz is providing exclusive championship rings, which have been designed in cooperation with League of Legends publisher Riot Games, for the Worlds winning team.

Furthermore, with the start of the tournament, Mercedes-Benz is launching Mercedes-Benz is launching its new campaign reflecting the Worlds 2024 motto: ‘Make Them Believe.’

In addition to the partnership with League of Legends publisher Riot Games, Mercedes-Benz Korea is sponsor of the team ‘T1’, led by superstar Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok. The Korean team T1 was crowned Worlds 2023 World Champion in Seoul last year and will look to defend their title in 2024.

EMEA off to a winning start as MDK defeat Vikings in game one of Worlds 2024

LEC team Mad Lions Koi (MDK) swept aside Vietnamese side Vikings 2-0 in game one of the play-ins at Worlds 2024 in Berlin today.

ADC Supa and jungler Elyoya were on fire, with 7/0/9 and 7/2/9 KDAs in game one, and 13/2/6 and 7/1/14 KDAs in game two, respectively.

MDK will now face either PSG or Pain Gaming on September 27th. Win that, and they’ll join fellow EU sides G2 and Fnatic in the swiss stage.

Worlds 2024 will be held in three European capitals from today (September 25th 2024) to November 2nd.

The tournament will start with the Play-ins and Swiss stage in Berlin, followed by the Knockout in Paris. London will host the Final of League of Legends Worlds 2024.

And at the Mercedes-Benz dealership Salzufer, Berlin, fans can join an exclusive Worlds 2024 viewing experience on finals day.

Worlds 2024 song ‘Heavy is the Crown’ by Linkin Park releases

It’s official: nu-metal pioneers Linkin Park are the official band behind this year’s Worlds anthem, titled ‘Heavy is the Crown’.

The animated music video has dropped below.

The song will also be on Linkin Park’s upcoming album, ‘From Zero’, which drops on November 15th 2024. It also comes after the band announced Emily Armstrong as their new singer earlier this month, replacing Chester Bennington who passed away in 2017.

“This is a call for greatness to all of the would-be rulers ready to claim the crown for themselves,” read a blurb in the song’s YouTube description.

‘Heavy is the Crown’ has been written by Linkin Park and Mike Elizondo, produced by Mike Shinoda and co-produced by Colin Brittain and Brad Delson, with additional production by Mike Elizondo. It was mixed by Rich Costey and mastered by Emerson Mancini.

The music video was created in partnership with Eddy and made at Brunch Studio.
