The list of League of Legends Worlds 2024 teams participating in this year’s world championship has been finalised, with South Korean giants T1 and star player Faker joining the fray.
They defeated KT Rolster in a close lower bracket match 3-2 in the LCK Regional Finals 2024 yesterday.
It was a narrow qualification for T1, the current 2023 Worlds winners, who lost 3-2 to Dplus earlier in the finals.
Faker said: “This time, we are going to Worlds as a challenger and as the fourth seed, which is a first for me, so I think it will be a very good experience. I hope the fans will support our team a lot during Worlds and we will also work hard to prepare and achieve good results.”
KT Rolster had looked solid going into the match-up versus T1, after beating FearX 3-0 in the first match of the lower bracket.
But T1, consisting of Zeus, Oner, Faker, Gumayasi and Keria, did enough to qualify as one of the Worlds 2024 teams.
It’s Faker’s ninth Worlds tournament:
The news also comes one month after the T1 Worlds 2023 winners skins released in LoL patch 14.16.

Stealer announces eyewear collaboration with Faker
The news comes as Stealer, a metal eyewear brand from Korea, has announced the global launch of its collaboration eyewear collection with Faker.
Faker has been wearing the Stealer ‘Champion’ model glasses during all his matches, including the 2024 LCK Summer Season and the inaugural Esports World Cup this year, and these experiences have contributed to the creation of the new collection.
He’s also the global brand ambassador for Stealer.
Stealer says it has been focused on not just creating eyewear, but also ‘reflecting Faker’s career and symbolic presence in the industry. This concept is captured in the project name and theme, ‘Only 1 Road’, which represents his unique and unmatched journey’.
“Using Stealer’s expertise in metal materials, we have crafted metal eyewear that incorporates details and functionality symbolizing Faker’s achievements,” Stealer said in a press release.
“The products, made from titanium and stainless steel, are optimised for eyewear and feature 1mm thick frames for lightweight comfort and top performance. Additionally, high-performance blue-light-blocking lenses come standard, protecting eyes even for those who do not regularly wear glasses from prolonged blue light exposure. Every product and packaging design reflects Faker’s feedback, making this collection the result of close collaboration with Stealer.”
