The Valorant Spring 2024 Beacon season – Northern Europe’s official grassroots Valorant tournament – will be the last, before new competitions launch.

The upcoming season, which will be organised in collaboration with NUEL (which also runs the University Esports UK & Ireland tournaments) will take place on April 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th, with a total prize pool of £2,000.

The top four teams will also secure slots in the Polaris qualifier event at the end of April.

This will be the last season of Beacon to run across the entirety of Northern Europe, with a new focus to national-based competitions for the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in the next season in September 2024.

Premier will remain as the primary qualification method for teams in the higher-tier Challengers North: Polaris and the top-tier VCT EMEA ecosystem.

“We look forward to this final season of Beacon covering the whole of Northern Europe,” said Will Attwood, Competitive Experiences Manager Riot Games Northern Europe.

“As we move ahead we’ll shift the focus down to a national level. This will allow us to bring local activations to players, and allow them to play Valorant in a competitive environment that maintains the path to pro through the Premier ecosystem.”

The news comes a week after the Women’s Valorant Beacon Game Changers Contenders Qualifier was announced for Northern Europe.
