London-based esports organisation Tundra Esports have announced a trio of new partnerships over the past week.
Tundra Esports, Paramount Pictures UK and P Money join forces for ‘Sumotherhood’ gaming event
To celebrate the release of the movie Sumotherhood, in cinemas from October 13th 2023, Paramount Pictures UK will be hosting a gaming event with Tundra Esports.
On Wednesday October 11th, Sumotherhood star Jazzie Zonzolo will be teaming up against British grime MC and rapper P Money to play the brand-new EA Sports FC 24 football game. Whilst battling, the trio will be speaking about all things Sumotherhood, including P Money’s track ‘Trouble’, which features in the film.
The game will be streamed live from Soho at 8pm via P Money’s Twitch channel.
Last year, P Money also released the Tundra Esports song ‘Outplayed’ as Virgil van Dijk was announced as an ambassador to the org.
Comedy Sumotherhood is a parody of the UK urban genre, and comes from the mind of BAFTA Rising Star Adam Deacon.
“It’s always a pleasure and an achievement to have your music in a film. Especially when you remember watching the first one as just a viewer. Private screenings are always a good vibe. I look forward to playing some games on stream and then watching the film when the dust settles from my opponents that perished,” said P Money.

Whisky brand signs first esports team sponsorship with Tundra
Ballantine’s, the Scotch whisky alcoholic drink brand, has teamed up with defending champions Tundra Esports as their Official Spirit Partner for The Dota 2 International 2023. It’s the first ever esports team sponsorship for Ballantine’s.
The partnership will see Ballantine’s make its debut on Tundra’s new The International official jersey, which went on sale October 6th 2023.
The partnership is the latest move by Ballantine’s in the esport space following its partnership earlier this year with Blast.tv for the CSGO Paris Major.
Ballantine’s also partnered with Dota 2 by releasing two limited edition bottles in China – along with an exclusive movie featuring appearances from favourite characters from the universe, including Juggernaut, Lina, Monkey King, Marci, and Brewmaster, who embark on a quest to collect several lost runes.
Tundra Esports and Ballantine’s will be launching a series of behind the scenes content that gets up close and personal with the players.
Afterwork Drinks sees Head Coach Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling speak on his work day and share his experiences with Ballantine’s. TI Dream Team will see the Tundra team put together a roster of their favourites players, while Sip of Knowledge will give advice to gamers hoping to go pro.
Carleton Curtis, Chief Executive Officer of Tundra Esports, said: “We are honoured to be the first esports team in history sponsored by Ballantine’s the Official Spirit Partner of our Dota 2 roster for the International 2023. This is a brilliant opportunity for us to work together in creating exciting new content and bring fans together around the world.”
