The sixth iteration of the Smash Ultimate invitational Northern Summit has been announced for September 23rd and 24th 2023.
The event, which runs to help raise money for the mental health charity Mind, will include 15 Northern players and one non-Northern vote in.
Of the 15 Northern players, seven are being invited directly, six are decided by a public voting process and the final two spots will go to the highest placing Northern players at Grand Manchester Conquest in August.
The seven invited players include the best that the North have to offer including SBF, Piplup, CurryGovernor, Honey_o, Pizza Time, Nutlord and Lyto.
Nominations for the voting stage are currently open and link to the form can be found on the Street Smash Manchester Twitter page.
The voting process for Northern Summit works in a similar way that Beyond the Summit’s invitational series worked. The public pays for votes, with that money going charity.
There are six spots for Northern vote-in candidates and a bonus spot for a single non-Northern entrant.
The event is being run to support the mental health charity Mind, which was also supported by last years event Northern Summit 5. This ended up raising £7,347 overall.
