The esports wave is riding high and the popularity of competitive online games is evident.

In the past, esports wasn’t as big as it is now. Games, including first-person shooters, of course allow players to become pros and take part in large tournaments with cash prizes. Esports is hitting the mainstream and there are more competitive titles around than before.

Even professional sports franchises are getting involved. For example, the NBA has an entire 2K League in esports, with a draft, free agency and more, with franchises run by actual teams like the New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies.

For some, esports is the future of sports. With the development of technology and the gaming industry globally, buyers’ interest in specialised gaming laptops has also increased. Like business laptops, the gaming laptops offering is rich – it includes various models with affordable prices, modest features and of course, extremely high-performance models at top prices.

Purchasing a cheap and good gaming laptop can be a challenge – and it involves knowing some technical details specific to this field. On that note, here are some of the best gaming laptops for 2022:

Acer Predator Helios 300, Intel i9

Overall massive, the Predator Helios 300 is a gaming notebook (pictured above) capable of high performance, especially during intense gaming sessions.

It’s a notebook with an IPS Full HD 15.6-inch screen and a 144 Hz refresh rate. In addition, the processor is the powerful Intel Core i9-11900H, which is supported by 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card with 8GB of memory.

Internal storage is integrated with a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. For some pounds less, you can buy the same computer with a GeForce RTX 3060 or 2070 GPU for a more affordable price, which still offers quite high performance and 8GB or 16GB of RAM. For the RTX3080 with an i9-11980HK processor, the price almost triples, so the model presented by us remains the most suitable, and it looks like it passed the tests.

HP OMEN 15, Ryzen 9

Aesthetically one of the most beautiful gaming notebooks, this does not exaggerate with its lines, but it still retains that aspect of robustness and excellent construction.

In this case, we’re talking about HP Gaming OMEN 15, which will surely delight users with its 15.6-inch IPS screen with Full HD resolution capable of reaching 144Hz as a refresh rate.

The processor, in this case, is a Ryzen 9 5900HX, a monster accompanied by 16GB of RAM and a powerful video card (Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Max-Q) dedicated with 8GB, with a 512TB SSD. There is a collaboration with B&O, which means you get an immersive sound during your gaming sessions.

With such a laptop, HP aims to make the gaming experience much more enjoyable. You can even play online blackjack on another level. To adjust its specifications according to your budget, this gaming laptop comes with many configurations too. We chose to present this particular configuration as it comes with powerful components at a reasonable price.

Lenovo Legion 7, Intel i7

This Lenovo LEGION 7 should also be mentioned. It may not look impressive, but it will give you very high performance.

Inside is an Intel Core i7-11800H processor with 16GB of RAM and a super-fast 1TB SSD to store everything. There is, of course, a dedicated graphics card, which in this case, is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 with 8GB GDDR6, which will give you that boost during gaming sessions. We haven’t told you about the screen yet, but it’s an excellent 15.6-inch panel with a 144 Hz IPS Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and a maximum brightness of 500 nits.

Lenovo Legion Y740-15IRHg

The Y740-15IRHg comes with a powerful laptop’s features: RGB keyboard, 144Hz refresh rate display, RTX series graphics, numerous ports and a 6-core processor.

What’s the downside? We didn’t find much, Lenovo sacrificed some of the available storage space in the laptop for a smaller budget, and the 1TB SSD provides plenty of room and speed. The GeForce RTX 2070 gives you a crisp and stable experience in many games.

If you’re more interested in saving some money, neither the RTX 2060 nor the GTX 1660Ti will let you down when it comes to raw power to run games either. The laptop also has 16 GB of RAM up to 4.5 GHz.

This power comes not only from the video card but also from the Intel Core i7-9750H processor, aiming to deliver a top experience, whether it’s for everyday use or playing your favorite games.

If you’re not willing to spend more on your laptop budget, we think the Lenovo Y740-15IRHg is one of your best bets.
