UK Clash Royale player Liam “ThunderStruck” McCarron beat other Brits in the UK qualifier of the Red Bull Mobile Esports Open (M.E.O) by ESL.
He will now go on to battle against players from 35 other countries in the grand finals of the new mobile tournament, which takes place in Dortmund, Germany on February 2nd and 3rd 2019.
Thunderstruck – who plays for Cream eSports – stormed through to the finals without dropping a single game before defeating Dead00 3-2 in the final match.

The UK qualifier took place on the weekend (Sunday December 2nd) at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London, and gave both pro and amateur players the chance to prove themselves on the big stage.
Clash Royale has established itself as one of the top mobile esports games, with orgs such as Cloud 9, G2, Team Dignitas and NRG having teams. This time last year, London’s Copperbox Arena played host to the Clash Royale Crown Championship finals, won by Mexican player sergioramos:).
Next February, the Warsteiner Music Hall in Dortmund will draw Arena of Valor, Brawl Stars and Clash Royale players and fans, leading up to a battle for a cash prize and the title of Red Bull M.E.O. by ESL champion.
