Retailer GAME has announced its new wave of Belong Arena Clash grassroots esports tournaments.
It’s moving into League of Legends and Overwatch, after its successful first Call of Duty Arena Clash won by Manchester Swarm.
The second Arena Clash season will feature a £3,000 prize pool for Overwatch (£1,800 for the winner and £1,200 for the runner-up) and a £2,500 for LoL (£1,500 and £1,000 for first and second place).
CoD: Infinite Warfare will return with a £1,200 first prize and £800 for the runners-up.
This means there’s £7,500 up for grabs in total. Plus, participants will also be able to win exclusive Tribe jerseys, other merch and the Arena Clash trophy.
Sign ups open on June 16th and close on June 26th. The season starts on July 12th.
The qualifiers are:
- League of Legends – June 28th
- Overwatch – June 29th
- Call of Duty – June 30th
There are ten GAME Tribes taking part, representing their local areas and stores. They are as follows:
- Bristol Smugglers
- Cardiff Saints
- Craigavon Kestrels
- Humber Hunters
- Kingston Harriers
- London Lionhearts
- Manchester Swarm
- Portsmouth Pirates
- Teesside Steelers
- Tyneside Guardians
Players must be over 16 to take part, or over 18 for the CoD tournament.
