British caster Joe “Munchables” Fenny is moving to California to host Vainglory 8 for the next five months.
Joe is well-known in the UK scene for his work casting the ESL UK & Ireland Premiership across multiple games, and recently he cast the Vainglory Unified Live Spring Championship from London’s O2.
During those finals he worked alongside the UK’s very own Jackson ‘Action Jackson’ Walters, Ceirnan ‘Excoundrel’ Lowe, Jack ‘Jaws’ Wright, Joshua ‘Dowsey’ Dowse and fellow ESL UK colleague Dan Gaskin, along with other commentators including Shaun ‘FourCourtJester’ Delaney and UK-based Xinyi ‘Xinyi’ Qiu.
ESL was the production partner at the recent tournament in London, so there are links between ESL and Vainglory developers Super Evil Megacorp.
Munchables promised he’d be back working with ESL UK after his time hosting the Vainglory 8 is over.
I’m excited to announce that I’m going to be the host of the #VG8 for the next few months! California here I come baby! @superevilmegaco

Seriously going to miss all of the guys at @ESLUK for the next few months though. I’ll be back soon I promise!

It’s not yet confirmed who ESL UK will enlist to cover Joe while he’s away, but we understand they may give some freelancers and up-and-coming casters a chance to make their mark.
There’s plenty of good UK talent from the National University Esports League, CompeteLeague and other areas looking to take their career to the next level.
During the last Premiership split, UK streamer Foxdrop stepped in as a guest ESL co-caster/analyst for a few matches, including the finals.
Casters from the UK scene have gone on to do big things lately. Tridd and Gregan are casting the Clash Royale Crown Championship, Excoundrel has been working with Vainglory and Medic recently made his EU LCS debut.
Could it be time for up and coming UK casters to make their mark on the UK scene?
