Fluendo, a leading developer of video analysis software for the sports industry, has today announced its first steps into the growing esports sector, with the launch of RiftAnalyst – a first-of-its-kind tool to help League of Legends (LoL) players reach their pinnacle.
Utilising Fluendo’s experience working with professional sports teams, such as Blackburn Rovers and the Spanish National Handball Team, RiftAnalyst is a unique new video analysis tool that enables LoL players to perform an in-depth analysis of matches, with the objective of improving either individual or team tactics.
Available in both a free and premium option (€3.99/month), RiftAnalyst is easy to use and allows users to import ranked and unranked match data, help new players become professionals and improve performance of those who already play at the top level.
Users can also identify their strengths and weaknesses, helping them to become a better player, coach or video analyst. By simply uploading a video file – captured using platforms such as OBS – and synchronizing it to Riot Games’ data, users can review their own battles or those of other LoL players.

The custom-built app is intuitive and allows users to quickly navigate to certain events, including Dragon kills and Tower kills. It also offers the ability to annotate videos to highlight wrong (and right) moves on specific frames.
RiftAnalyst also enables users to create custom playlists – featuring all their annotations and comments – that can be exported in high or low quality to share directly to email or social media channels.
Mercè Delgado, CEO of Fluendo, commented: “We’re so excited to be launching RiftAnalyst. Although esports are following traditional sports in their professionalism, there are no video analysis tools currently available.

“This new app will take LoL gameplay to the next level by analysing objective and subjective features, and providing users access to ranked and unranked match data directly from Riot.”
