UK organisation Team Dignitas have moved into Overwatch after signing a roster from Creation eSports for an undisclosed fee.
British player Seb “numlocked” Barton has been named team captain, as the org looks to pick up wins at Gamescom (taking place this weekend), E-League and more.
eSports News UK had heard a week ago that Team Dignitas were close to signing their first Overwatch team.
numlocked said: “We’re overjoyed to be joining Team Dignitas at a time where both the organisation and the game are booming.
“It’s an honour to be joining an organisation as world-renowned as Team Dignitas and we look forward to representing them at Gamescom, E-League and many more tournaments to come.”
Team Dignitas added in a statement: “After carefully observing the game’s competitive development, we have decided to move and sign the European Overwatch roster previously playing for Creation eSports.
“The players have a wealth of competitive experience and have shown great promise over the past few months, and we are convinced that with our help they can become the absolute best.”
The full roster is as follows:
- Tank: Seb “numlocked” Barton – UK
- Flex: Jiri “LiNkz” Masalin – Finland
- DPS: Artur “art1er” Bischof – Germany
- DPS: Jose Antonio “BromaS” Ramos Gonzales – Spain
- Support: Joshua “ToxikeN” Campos – Spain
- Support: Rasmus “Draceus” Waern – Sweden
