We ask Aerox eSports’ new owner Connor O’Boyle what his plans are for the organisation now that he’s back in charge.
You reacquired AeroX earlier this week from Oliver “Tazzz” Holloway. Why did you sell AeroX in the first place and what made you return?
A few months back I got a full time job offer in the marketing and advertising sector. I decided to take a step back from eSports to really progress my professional career and continue my self education within my field.
After working for three months and learning lots of new things, I decided to return to eSports and work alongside my full time job. I want to apply my skills to a new business sector and I have the experience within eSports to do so.
I decided to buy AeroX back because I truly missed the scene and the opportunities it provides to young entrepreneurs like myself. I am very happy to be back in the hot seat and back running organisations!
When did you first set up AeroX?
I originally founded AeroX eSports in November of 2014 with my long term friend Cameron or ‘Kraaz’.
I am the original founder of the company and I am very proud of that.
What kind of sum did you pay for the organisation?
It would be unprofessional for me to discuss personal financial matters like this. But the sum I paid was fair in terms of the earning potential of AeroX.
I am very excited to ANNOUNCE that I have reacquired @AeroX_eSports & all assets! I will be building a strong staff team in the coming weeks

What are your short term and long term goals for AeroX?
My short term goals for AeroX are mainly brand awareness related and general team acquisitions.
My long term goals are much more exciting – I know that the brand and staff have the potential to make it to the highest level within eSports. This is the mindset I intend to keep for the future of AeroX.
What games will AeroX be focusing on?
AeroX will be focusing on all games we find enjoyable within eSports. Every game and market has potential to get popular within the blink of an eye.
I do not think there is any point trying to rebuild a company around second guessing market patterns.

AeroX recently disbanded its League of Legends team. Do you plan to introduce one again?
Yes, personally I love League of Legends and have for some time now. I plan on having a team represent AeroX on this game.
Why did Oliver sell AeroX back to you?
I’m not 100% sure why Oliver decided to sell AeroX in general. I believe he gained all he wanted from it at this time and has moved on to progress his personal career. This is a natural form of events that people need to do in order to grow as a person.
I respect Oliver a lot and hope he can continue his progression.
