The Smash Bros fighting game scene is on the up in the Midlands, so say players at the bi-weekly Smash at O’Neill’s event in Leicester.
We visited one of the regular gatherings for a behind the scenes look at how grassroots events like this are helping to grow the Smash Bros scene across the UK.
In this special video feature, Cameron Peberdy interviews UK Smash Bros players Jeremy “OPTO” Pang (Smash 4) and Anthony “Fisheatcorn” Lee (Melee/Project M) at a regular tournament and gathering at O’Neill’s in Leicester, which took place on January 31st and was organised by Will Savage.
The players talk to us about how to get involved with the game, how to find out more about the Smash Bros community in the UK and what events like this entail.
