A new UK-based Enclave LAN will be taking place in Milton Keynes’ Marshall Arena from April 17th to 21st 2025.
Titled ‘Enclave 1 – The Awakening’, the five-day event will feature LAN gaming, tournaments, retro gaming, board games, VR simulators, new hardware and a ‘unique meta-game storyline that links to future events’.
It’s the first event from LANCraft Events Ltd, a business set up by Matt ‘Kharne‘ Macdonald and Michael ‘Geosnipe‘ Lambert. These are the respective former esports manager and community operations manager of Player1 Events, the company that ran Insomnia Gaming Festival and entered liquidation this year.
To be clear, Kharne and Geosnipe were not directors or owners of Insomnia – they were employees there.

Enclave LAN’s esports plans
The first Enclave LAN aims to mix social gaming with grassroots tournaments.
LANCraft Events Co-Founder Matt ‘Kharne‘ Macdonald told Esports News UK: “The first event will be focused on community LAN with some grassroots tournaments sprinkled in – initially Overwatch 2 and Rocket League.
“We don’t have a big stage and there won’t be big prize funds to start with. If we can grow the event where it can support bigger tournaments, I have the experience to make it happen, it’s just about making sure we are delivering a premium LAN experience first and foremost at the beginning.
“I am definitely interested in existing tournament organisers who might want to have a LAN environment to host their tournament within.”
Matt ‘Kharne’ Macdonald, LANCraft Events
“Of course they would have to fit within the structure of the LAN environment and timings, but we could make accommodations for hosting a stream, if enough teams want to come and participate.
“We will be looking at putting more information out about our tournaments in the new year, or earlier if things fall into place.”
Update: The prize pools for the Overwatch 2 and Rocket League tournaments have been confirmed:
