Riot Play Club game nights expanded to UK university campuses

Riot Play Club is officially being expanded to university campuses across the United Kingdom.

Riot Games in a press release, said that it will offer fans a chance to play their favourite games and join activities with other players.

They added: “Riot Play Club is heading to more universities than ever before with a total of 39 uni gaming societies joining the crew, kicking things off at Freshers Fairs and then throwing watch parties for the League of Legends Worlds 2025 Finals and VALORANT Champions Finals.

“Whether it’s your first semester or you’re back for final year there will now be more chances for you to meet other players, play more of your favorite games and join up for great League of Legends themed treats on and around campus.”

Riot Play Club was initially launched this month, with the announcement made back in June.

This included events in London, Manchester, Leeds, Coventry and Oslo in Norway.

What is Riot Play Club?

Riot Play Club is a new initiative for players to enjoy their favourite games, such as League of Legends.

University campuses are set to host Riot Play Club events, which players can join at Freshers Fairs at their respective universities.

Watch parties will be provided for the League of Legends Worlds 2025 Finals and the Valorant Champions Finals.

There will also be mini-tournaments and League of Legends-themed treats.

The statement said: “Your gaming and/or esports society will host at least one social Riot Play Club event focused around bringing Riot Games players together across the Winter Term.

“You can expect a relaxed evening of gaming with other students either in some casual matches of League of Legends and Valorant, a mini-tournament with prizes or some activities away from the screen like testing your knowledge of the game’s lore or creating your own Tactibear. It’s about having fun, meeting new people, and feeling part of the local community.”
