The packages will be distributed across two routes. 75 packages will be awarded through the Battle of Malta Champion’s Trials promotion, where players can earn entries by reaching participation milestones in eligible tournaments before advancing through Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Finals.
The other 25 packages are tied to Main Event promotions. Day 1 chip leaders in the $565 Battle of Malta Main Event will receive packages directly, while chip leaders in the $55 Main Challenger and $11 Main Crusader will qualify for dedicated package freerolls.
The package promotion sits alongside a 23-day tournament schedule headlined by three Main Events with $3.1 million in combined guarantees. The $565 Battle of Malta Main Event carries the largest of the three guarantees at $2.5 million, with multiple Day 1 flights running before Day 2 on August 3.
The two lower buy-in Main Events are the $55 Main Challenger, which has a $500,000 guarantee, and the $11 Main Crusader, which has a $100,000 guarantee.
CoinPoker has also scheduled the return of the $215 CoinMillion as part of the series. The tournament begins on July 12, with Day 2 taking place on July 13, and has a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. According to the announcement, the winner will also receive a physical trophy and a digital Trophy Cabinet award.
Another returning event from World Poker Masters, the $1,500 CoinMasters BITCOIN, is also included on the schedule with a $1 million guarantee.
Trophies are another part of the Battle of Malta Online Series format. CoinPoker said 77 events will award both a physical Battle of Malta trophy and a digital CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet award. Winners can collect their physical trophy during the Battle of Malta Autumn Edition at the CoinPoker Trophy Ceremony or have it delivered.
Players who attend the Trophy Ceremony in Malta will also receive a €600 Main Event ticket for the live festival.
The final weekend of the online series is listed with $10 million in guarantees. The Battle of Malta Online Series follows World Poker Masters, which the company said awarded more than $48 million across its schedule.
