Odoamne departs Los Ratones with new coach rumoured to join

Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont’s Los Ratones have announced the departure of assistant coach Andrei ‘Odoamne’ Pascu before the 2026 LEC season.

Odoamne was an accomplished League of Legends pro, winning an LEC title and reaching a Worlds semifinal as a toplaner.

Los Ratones are about to compete with LEC teams in the new LEC Versus event, but Odoamne won’t join them.

Having joined in spring, Odoamne was part of two of Los Ratones’ three NLC titles and one of their two EMEA Masters triumphs.

Odoamne was originally brought in as an assistant coach to help Caedrel, who was struggling to balance coaching and co-streaming.

He also worked as a positional coach for G2 Esports and Vivo Keyd Stars, while additionally working on the analyst desk and casting for the LEC.

Odoamne previously tweeted that he has found a new passion for both jobs after a 12-year playing career.

Now, the Romanian has thanked Los Ratones for giving him the “start” to his coaching career: “Could not have asked for a better start than the one I had with you all.

“LR fanbase, you have been very kind to me and even though this is a goodbye, I will always be close by them and be a fan of the rats with you all!

“See you all in Twitch chat.”

Caedrel set to step down from coaching Los Ratones, with YamatoCannon set to join

The NLC champions are seemingly undergoing a substantial coaching staff overhaul after Los Ratones also parted ways with analyst Molecule.

And now it seems that Caedrel is stepping down from coaching too, before Los Ratones make their LEC debut.

According to reports by Sheep Esports, Jakob ‘YamatoCannon’ Mebdi is set to become Los Ratones’ head coach.

YamatoCannon is a veteran, having previously coached Team Vitality, Fnatic, Karmine Corp and others.

He is well known for his motivational work and man management, which may help Los Ratones after they burnt out at the end of 2025.

Reportedly, YamatoCannon will be joined by the British assistant coach Kevin ‘Shaves’ Tolman.

Shaves previously worked with Fnatic and then at Karmine Corp with YamatoCannon.

This suggests Caedrel is stepping down from coaching and concentrating on content and co-streaming for the 2026 season, the main source of revenue for the team.

As for the actual player line-up, Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson is the only player who has publicly confirmed he’s staying.

Though after some doubts, Los Ratones confirmed that Simon ‘Baus’ Hofverberg is staying and will play in LEC Versus.
