INZONE Clash confirms Fnatic 2026 Valorant roster – Veqaj joins the orange and black

The Fnatic 2026 Valorant roster has been confirmed, with Sylvain ‘Veqaj’ Pattyn joining the team for the upcoming season.

Having undoubtedly made his mark in the Tier Two scene and been noted for his individual potential in Tier One, Veqaj has now found a place on one of the most consistent Valorant teams from the 2025 season.

Vaqaj joins Fnatic, moving on from Gentle Mates’ tier 1 debut

Arriving on the Fnatic 2026 Valorant roster after a challenging 2025 season, Veqaj has outshone Gentle Mates’ on-paper results.

Gentle Mates’ August relegation from VCT seemed proof for some that Tier Two Valorant had little hope left, although they have since been invited to rejoin the VCT as a franchised team.

However, Veqaj’s signing suggests that Tier Two may not be as doomed as others think.

Despite Gentle Mates being unable to achieve impressive results while Veqaj was on the active roster, his individual skill was widely acknowledged and recognised. Before his Tier One debut, he also rapidly rose through the ranks in French regional competition.

This hard work and rapid improvement have now landed him a place on one of EMEA’s most consistent teams.

At 22 years of age, Veqaj also has the opportunity to continue growing and developing his playstyle with Fnatic.

During his introduction at Fnatic’s INZONE Clash in London, he confirmed that he will be a flex player for the team, able to adapt and morph into different roles as needed.

How might the Fnatic 2026 Valorant roster compare to the team in 2025?

Fnatic enjoyed a relatively successful 2025 season, despite suffering from the infamous “silver curse.” Despite reaching the finals of VCT Toronto 2025, the Esports World Cup, and VCT Champions Paris 2025, they fell painfully short, finishing in second place every time.

Their 2025 season record proved beyond doubt that the team has consistency. However, it also demonstrates the need for minor changes to reach their ultimate goal.

Maintaining their 2025 leadership is undoubtedly a wise choice for the team. Jack ‘Boaster’ Howlett will continue to IGL on the Fnatic 2026 Valorant roster.

Despite eventually suffering a heartbreaking loss to NRG in Paris, Boaster was able to IGL his team from 11-1 down to a map win. This historic achievement demonstrated that he still possesses the expertise to drive the team forward.

Boaster himself explained at INZONE Clash that he plans to work hard on developing Veqaj’s talent on the team.

He also joked that they picked Veqaj as their new teammate because Emir ‘Alfajer’ Beder “liked his jokes.”

Adding a fresh player like Veqaj to the team may be the quality Fnatic needs to achieve victory once again.

With Valorant finally coming to the UK for Valorant Masters London 2026, a Fnatic victory on home soil is the ultimate goal.

As Veqaj finds his footing on the roster, only time will tell if it is in reach.
