Boaster re-signs with Fnatic Valorant for another year

Jake ‘Boaster’ Howlet has agreed to play for Fnatic for another year of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT).

This means Boaster will be at the London Clash event, Fnatic Valorant’s first time playing in the UK.

Together, Boaster and Fnatic came agonisingly close to international silverware in 2025.

The team won VCT EMEA Stage 1 but lost in the finals of both Valorant Masters Toronto and Valorant Champions Paris.

Fnatic lost in the Paris Champions 2025 final 2-3 to NRG after nearly completing a comeback from 2-0 down.

The heartbreaking loss led to an outpouring of support from the Valorant community for Boaster, with many fearing he’d retire.

Though Boaster’s partner, British Valorant broadcast star Yinsu Collins, confirmed Boaster would keep playing:

“It is sometimes a bit exhausting for people to clickbait his retirement. He’s never said he’s gonna retire.”

Boaster has been with Fnatic since the organisation entered Valorant in 2021, after acquiring the SUMN FC roster.

The 2026 VCT season will be Boaster’s sixth year with Fnatic, as the in-game leader looks to add more trophies to his collection.

Especially with the announcement of Valorant Masters London 2026, the UK’s first-ever VCT event.

So far, Boaster has won three VCT EMEA trophies and two international events in Masters Tokyo and LOCK//IN Sau Palo 2023.

Will the rest of Fnatic’s Valorant roster re-sign?

Just a few weeks after the Valorant Champions final, there have been a lot of Valorant roster rumours for 2026.

And there has been a lot of talk about what the popular Fnatic roster will do.

Reports from Sheep Esports suggest that Austin ‘crashies’ Roberts will also re-sign with Fnatic for another year.

According to the report, the American star has verbally agreed to remain with Fnatic for the VCT EMEA 2026 season.

And in addition to that, Valorant coach Milan ‘Milan’ de Meij has reportedly also agreed to remain with Fnatic.

Sheep Esports report the coach has verbally agreed to a two-year contract extension.

That just leaves questions over the futures of Kajetan ‘kaajak’ Haremski, Timofey ‘Chronicle’ Khromov and Emir ‘Alfajer’ Beder.

Alfajer and kaajak are still under contract until 2026, according to the Valorant Global Contract Database.

Though that doesn’t mean the players won’t explore options.

Chronicle is one of only three players to have ever made Valorant Champions finals on two different occasions.

One of those three is his Fnatic teammate, crashies.
