Team Falcons crowned champions at The International 2025

Team Falcons emerged victorious at The International 2025 after beating Xtreme Gaming 3-2 in an epic final at the event held in Hamburg, Germany.
The International 2025 was the 14th edition of Dota 2’s season-ending event, and proved to be the third most popular event in the tournament’s history.
Team Falcons overcame a tough group stage to win in the final and secure $1.15 million (£845,000) in winnings.
In total, 16 teams qualified for The International 2025, with a total prize pool worth over $2.7m (£1.98m).

How did Team Falcons win The International 2025?
Team Falcons was one of eight invited teams for the tournament and were drawn against UK-run organisation Team Nemesis for their opening fixture.
Saudi esports organisation Team Falcons, had a mixed group stage with three victories and two defeats.
Falcons started with 2-1 victories over Team Nemesis and Tundra Esports. However, a 2-0 victory over Team Liquid was sandwiched by 2-1 defeats to Xtreme Gaming and Team Tidebound.
This meant they finished seventh in the group and only reached the playoffs after a 2-0 win over Team Spirit.
Team Falcons found their groove in the playoffs, advancing to the final after victories over Team Tidebound (2-0), BB Team (2-1) and Paravision (2-1).
Xtreme Gaming were knocked into the lower bracket by Paravision, but later got their revenge in the lower bracket final.
The final went to a full five-game series, where Falcons won the tournament with a 3-2 victory.
Team members Oliver ‘Skiter’ Lepko and Wu ‘Sneyking’ Jingpun both became two-time The International winners thanks to Team Falcons’ triumph.
How does the popularity of The International 2025 compare to past tournaments?
The International 2025 was the third-most popular TI event in Dota 2 history – only beaten by 2019 and 2021.
As reported by Esports Charts, the final drew over 1.77 million concurrent viewers, surpassing last year’s peak of 1.51 million.
It is still some way behind the massive 2.74 million from 2021, while 2019 drew in a peak viewership of 1.96 million.
However, The International 2025 was the most popular edition of the tournament since 2021.

It has been a strong 2025 for Team Falcons who also won their second consecutive Esports World Cup Club Championship.
