The official release of EA Sports FC 26 is just over a month away, with lots of new features promised.
EA Sports has claimed that the developers have taken on more fan feedback than ever before.
And thanks to that, the publishers have finally fixed one of the most annoying issues that has plagued multiple games.
There has been an onslaught of announcements and new features, from Career Mode Manager Markets to smarter goalkeepers.
However, one simple yet fantastic change has gone under the radar but will be massively appreciated by the playerbase.
Annoying shadows caused by stadiums, which make it hard to see and play, are thankfully a thing of the past.
EA Sports has finally introduced an option in the EA FC 26 settings which allows players to turn off stadium shadows.
While the shadows are nice for realism, they were difficult to play with considering the game’s top-down camera angles.
This will also mean that a lot of Ultimate Team players can finally use their favourite stadiums, like the Bernabeu.
It seems EA have made a lot of nice quality-of-life updates, which the football game series desperately needed.
The menus have seemingly been improved with customisable shortcuts and the ability to pin some options.
There particularly seems to be a lot of Career Mode changes for EA FC 26, with the mode needing a big refresh.
Now Career Mode should have a lot more variety with managers changing clubs and random events like fireworks outside player hotels.
And for even more dynamism, there is even the option that can be switched on which will cause players to retire at any age.
EA FC 26 gameplay improvements
While there are lots of welcome additions and features for EA FC 26, the most important factor is the gameplay.
EA Sports has taken a very exciting approach this year, which will see two completely different types of gameplay.
Competitive gameplay has been created for online modes to allow for skill expression and remove frustration.
This should make a huge difference for the esports scene and top players like Team Falcons’ new signing Vejrgang.
While authentic gameplay is available for offline modes to add extra realism and make matches against AI more challenging.
Although the competitive gameplay settings can still be used in offline modes for those through prefer a quicker pace.
And of course, sliders are still an option for offline modes, so players can customise the gameplay to their exact preferences.
By separating the two gameplay types, EA should be able to patch and balance both separately, which could be a huge positive for EA FC 26.
