Los Ratones general manager Kieran Holmes-Darby to appear on Love is Blind

Los Ratones GM Kieran Holmes-Darby is a contestant on Love is Blind UK.

Excel Esports founder and current Los Ratones general manager Kieran Holmes-Darby will appear on Season 2 of Love is Blind.

The 28-year-old is one of the male contestants on the UK version of the reality television show on Netflix.

The original US version is ranked as the most-watched streaming original series of all time.

Kieran will be part of a cast that has an equal number of single men and women, all looking for love.

For 10 days, contestants will go on dates in purpose-made pods where they can speak but can’t see each other.

If couples stay together after that time, they then get engaged and get to meet face-to-face on their honeymoon.

The engaged couple will then have a wedding and can choose whether they want to pursue the relationship or not.

The new UK season starts August 13th, with celebrity couple Matt and Emma Willis as the co-hosts.

The following is how the announcement article on Netflix’s website describes Kieran:

“‘Secret geek’ Kieran has made a living out of his love of video games. But after just 18 months of singledom following his last seven-year relationship, he’s eager to make it to the final boss in the game of love: marriage.

“Described by his friends and family as a ‘golden boy,’ he’s now reaching for a golden goblet as he takes his search for the perfect partner into the pods.

“Kieran is a member of Mensa and has even been featured on Forbes 30 Under 30 list, so he’s no stranger to success. Let’s just see if he finds it in romance.”

If the Mena member’s LoL elo is high like his IQ, Kieran will surely be odds-on favourite with UK betting sites.

Sharing the news on his social media, Holmes-Darby said:

“When the dating apps ain’t working, going on a televised experiment seems like a reasonable response.”

Who is Kieran Holmes-Darby from Love is Blind UK?

Holmes-Darby is a successful entrepreneur and one of the most recognisable names in UK esports.

He and his brother, Joel, founded esports team Excel Esports while chatting in a pub over a decade ago.

Excel became surprisingly included as one of the franchise teams in the LEC, Europe’s major tournament for League of Legends – one of the world’s most popular esports.

The organisation set up a headquarters inside the iconic Twickenham rugby stadium.

After securing further investment through Guinevere Capital and others, both brothers were eventually let go from the organisation.

After filing an unfair dismissal claim, Kieran was able to reach a settlement with Excel Esports — now known as Giantx following a merger.

Holmes-Darby is now the general manager of another successful UK-based esports team, Los Ratones.

It was at Excel that he met British streaming superstar, Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont, who founded the team.

The organisation is the first UK-registered team to win EMEA Masters and has now won the tournament twice consecutively.

Kieran Holmes-Darby spoke to ENUK about his time with Los Ratones recently.

In the interview, he spoke highly of his experiences with the team so far: “It’s amazing. All I’ve seen is just pure support.

“I’m not trying to be front and centre and the face of anything, I’ve been there and done that with XL.

“I’m just trying to help Marc achieve what he wants to achieve with Los Ratones.”
