McDonald’s is launching its new summer menu and with it comes new Happy Meal toys, as Pokémon trading cards and toys will be available soon.
There are a whole host of new items coming to the menu this month with some past favourites also making their return ahead of the summer.
The menu will be trialled in 332 locations across the country before the new items are launched nationwide. The current proposed date for a nationwide rollout of the Pokémon Happy Meal is May 14 to June 17.
How to get Pokémon from McDonald’s
The Pokémon items will be easy to get for restaurant goers, with McDonald’s releasing the toys in arguably their most popular item on the menu – the Happy Meal.
The Happy Meal has recently featured toys from the Minecraft Movie that was released in April with the meal booming in popularity while the film was in cinemas.
Now the Minecraft meal has been removed from menus and Pokémon is set to replace it.
Each Happy Meal will contain one of eight Dragon-Type Pokémon toys during the promotional period, with every toy coming with four Pokémon trading cards as well.
McDonald’s has released a Pokémon Happy Meal in the past so we already know what it may look like, but that promotion was never available in the UK.

There is also a chance that the Happy Meal will come with a ‘Little People Big Dreams book’. The two book titles available are ‘I Can Make Amazing Music’ or ‘I Can Be a Wonderful Artist’.
