Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is still one of the most popular games around 11 years after its initial release date and the Rockstar title was officially the most streamed game on Twitch in 2024.
GTA V remains as popular as ever
Twitch has shared stats and figures from 2024, with Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) topping the most streamed games in 2024 despite already being out for 11 years.
Over 1.4 billion hours of GTA V were streamed last year which was over 400 million more than any other game on Twitch.
The figures look even better for Rockstar games when taken into account that Twitch was viewed for 15.6 billion hours across 2024 – meaning GTA was responsible for a huge chunk of its success.
The hype for GTA V may have resurged as Rockstar’s latest edition of the game is rumoured to be coming out in 2025.
With Twitch announcing new plans for 2025 after a disappointing year, a big 2025 can be expected from the streaming service especially GTA VI is released.

When is GTA VI coming out?
The wait for GTA VI seems to be never ending for fans of the game, however there could finally be light at the end of the tunnel after 11 years of waiting.
GTA VI is scheduled to come out in autumn later this year but there is no official release date yet.
Of course it is always hard to know what Rockstar Games is planning behind the scenes as there has been multiple setbacks in GTA’s development that have delayed the release.
