Rocket League are giving players of all skill levels the chance to compete for money in brand new Cash Cups.
Epic Games want to follow on from the success of the Offseason Opens and Champion’s Road Opens in 2024 by creating community tournaments in a new partnership with tournament organisers StartGG, who recently reported a record number of sign ups for EVO Japan.
These Cash Cups will take place at the end of every month from now through to December 2025 and will hand out over $390,000 (£294k) total in prize money across all cups and regions. Though, the prizes amounts for each tournament are yet to be announced.
The tournaments will rotate through multiple game modes so all types of players have a chance to compete at their best. Whether you thrive in intense 1v1s, the chaos of Rumble, or even the niche skill of Hoops if you are one of the few people playing basketball in a football-car game, there’s something for everyone.
Players of all levels will be able to compete. A team’s average rank will be collected once registration closes and will be used to decide team seeding and create a balanced tournament bracket.
If you’re feeling inspired by Karmine Corp’s RLCS Birmingham win in the UK earlier this month, now is your chance to practice and try competing in the game yourself. The full schedule of dates and formats for each Cash Cup can be found below.

In my seven years of esports writing, I’ve introuduced esports coverage to newspapers, interviewed some of the biggest names in the industry, and driven viewers mad with the puns in my YouTube scripts. I’m most proud of the latter.
