Esports team Ninjas in Pyjamas has announced a new location for the League of Legends Pro League – with the organisation moving over to Shenzhen, China.
Ninjas in Pyjamas has joined together in a partnership alongside Shenzhen Poly Culture Dev. Co Ltd in China.
The partnership comes hand in hand with a new location for the esports team to play League of Legends Pro League, located in the Longgang District of Shenzhen in China.
There is no doubt that Ninjas in Pyjamas has upgraded with a change of venue, as the new location completely dwarfs the old one where they could hold just 445 spectators. The new Shenzhen esports stadium has a maximum capacity of over 2,000 fans.
With over four times the amount of supporters now able to come and watch Ninjas in Pyjamas compete they are sure to keep growing as a brand in China.
Esports venues in China
The League of Legends currently uses four other venues alongside the new Shenzhen site – see below for the rest and where they are located.
- JD Intel Esports Center – Beijing
- Yangcheng International Esports Arena – Suzhou
- QuJiang Esports Center – Xi’an
- Hongqiao Tiandi Acting Center – Shanghai
The new Shenzhen venue is the only League of Legends site to be located in South China which could lead to even more expansion and brand exposure in a quiet area for esports.
Ninjas in Pyjamas continues to grow
Outside of how the esports team is performing, Ninjas in Pyjamas continues to expand with more partnerships that grow the company.
On top of the Shenzhen partnership, the esports organisation also announced at the beginning of 2025 they will do business with ADIO Holdings Restricted Limited for the next four years.
Backing from the Abu Dhabi based company comes with its own benefits as the team will be supported financially with at least $40m funnelled into the team across the multi-year deal.
