The next Rainbow Six Siege Malta Cyber Series event will feature a host of UK broadcast talent and several players.
The esports tournament will take place at the Ax Odycy Hotel, Dawret Il – Qawra at St Paul’s Bay in Malta this weekend, from March 14th to 16th 2025.
It has a $20,000 prize pool, six European teams taking part, and is being organised by Malta-based event organiser GMR.
Teams and UK players at Malta Cyber Series VIII
The event will see six teams do battle, including three UK-based organisations: Wolves, Fnatic and Team Nemesis (who formed from the ashes of Into the Breach last month).
Team Nemesis have taken Into the Breach’s spot.
Organisers said in a statement that the decision ‘was based on the principle that the qualifying spot belongs to the players who earned it, rather than the organisation’.
The full list of teams taking part in the latest Malta Cyber Series are:
- Team Secret
- Wolves Esports
- Ence
- Fnatic
- Macko Esports
- Team Nemesis
In terms of UK players and coaches involved, Wolves have a UK core of Leadr, Azzr, oscr and Tyrant, plus coach Kendrew and Polish player nudl.
Team Nemesis have UK players Den and Sloth, plus coach Kooli and more, and Fnatic also have UK coach Saethus. They will face Ence, with the winner playing against Team Secret.
It will actually be Ence’s last Siege tournament, after they announced they are exiting the esport.
Macko Esports also take part after winning the Siege T2 EU finals at Epic.LAN 44 recently. They will face Fnatic, with the winner advancing to the match-up versus Wolves.
