The longest-serving League of Legends player of UK and Spanish esports organisation GiantX has left to join the 2025 Rogue LEC roster.

Czechia ADC player Patrik ‘Patrik’ Jírů (pictured, centre) left the organisation after five years. He first joined GiantX back in 2019, when they were known as Excel Esports – the UK org that joined the LEC.

Patrik has played with multiple rosters over the years, appearing in BBC’s ‘Fight For First’ Excel Esports documentary and helping Excel Esports finally reach the LEC playoffs back in 2022.

He said on social media platform X last month, after leaving GiantX, that ‘a chapter ends’.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with so many amazing people and improving as a person and a player for the past five years,” Patrik said.

“Thank you to XL/GX fans for all the support throughout the years, I will keep doing my best and focus on whatever is next

GiantX have since signed Closer to their LEC team, and have also announced their Spanish Superliga roster for 2025.

2025 Rogue LEC roster includes Adam, Malrang and more

Rogue announced their full LEC roster yesterday to play in the League of Legends European Championship in 2025.

The team includes Swedish mid-laner Larssen, who has been with Rogue for some six years now after competing in the UK League of Legends circuit with the likes of MnM Gaming and Diabolus Esports.

The roster also features French top-laner Adam, who joins from Team BDS.

And it also includes South Korean players Malrang (jungle) and Execute (support player), who most recently played with Kabum Esports and FearX respectively.

Aforementioned ADC player Patrik completes the roster.

Adam said, in a French post on X translated by Google: “New season, new project for me. It’s been a very stressful off-season for me, which also explains my non-presence on the networks.

“I really had to wait until the end of the transfer window to find out that I was going to stay in the LEC next year, and the fact that I’m staying there relieves me enormously.

“[I’ll] continue to show that I unquestionably deserve to be part of this league. From what I understand, many people see us as very, very far from being among the favourites, so as usual, I will do everything I can to silence these opinions. A+ in LEC the team.”

As for the coaches, there’s UK head coach fredy122, South Korean assistant coach Trick, and German head of analytics Blueknight.

Other LEC rosters for 2025 have been confirmed in recent weeks, including Fnatic’s and G2’s 2025 LEC roster.
