UK and Spanish esports organisation GiantX have announced their 2025 academy roster for the League of Legends LVP Spanish Superliga.
They’ve also signed Turkish player Can ‘Closer’ Ćelik to their LEC team.
“Closer will bring the maturity we need to ensure the team develops well throughout the season. He fits perfectly with the other pieces and will play a key role in achieving optimal performance. Heās won a lot, and his record speaks for itself,” said David Alonso ‘Lozark’, GiantX’s sports director.
AndrƩ Guilhoto returns as head coach for the LEC team, and Jackies, the rookie of the year, remains in the mid lane.

Back to the academy team, and the Superliga roster includes Feisty (midlaner, South Korea) and Aetinoth (ADC, Türkiye), who continue for another year after establishing themselves as key players for the organisation, and newcomers Badlulu (toplaner, France), Ferret (jungler, Türkiye), and Lospa (support, South Korea).
The team, known as GiantX Pride, will be led by Fearless (Portugal), a coach who has already won three Superliga titles with GiantX.
After previous stints with teams like Guasones and Rebels, Fearless returns to lead this young roster as they pursue the organisationās long-awaited eighth Superliga trophy, with the season set to begin in January 2025.

The news comes after GiantX pride won the Iberian Cup 2024 last month with their former coach, Torok (UK), who has a lot of experience in the UK/Nordics/ERLs.
It also comes after Tim Reichert, the co-CEO of GiantX, announced his departure from the company last month, leaving the other co-CEO Jose Ramon Diaz to lead the organisation.
Esports News UK understands there were some internal clashes inside GiantX prior to this. Of course, following a merger of two well-established esports organisations to form GiantX a year ago, that was always going to be likely.
Tim Reichert said: “Over these three years, we didnāt just grow the business ā we evolved Excel as a team and as a brand, setting it up for the journey ahead with Giants Gaming. Iām proud of what weāve accomplished together, and it wouldnāt have been possible without the dedicated people who poured their heart and energy into this success. While I wonāt single anyone out, Iām grateful to everyone who contributed to this journey.
“Now, with GiantX standing strong and in the capable hands of my friend JosĆ© Ramón DĆaz, I feel itās the right moment to set off on new adventures. I have full confidence in Joseās leadership and vision, which will only build on the strong foundation weāve laid.”
GiantX Pride 2025 roster revealed during fan event and showmatch against BarƧa Esports
The new GiantX Pride 2025 roster was revealed during an event at the organisation’s MĆ”laga facility, attended by over 150 fans and supported by Opel, the teamās main partner in the Superliga. The event featured activities, giveaways, and a showmatch against BarƧa Esports, where fans got a first glimpse of the team in action.
As mentioned, Feisty (South Korea, born in 2003) and Aetinoth (Turkey, 2005) return for another year, having gained recognition as rising talents with potential for the LEC, Europeās premier competition in which GiantX also competes. Badlulu (France, 2002), with prior experience in the Superliga at Case Esports, joins as the toplaner. Ferret (Turkey, 2001), a promising jungler from the Turkish scene, comes from FUT, while Lospa (South Korea, 2002), a former Iberian Cup champion, joins as support after training in Gen.G Academy.
GiantX say they’re the most decorated organisation in Superliga LVP history, with seven titles to their name.
“The last league victory came in the summer of 2021, and the team is determined to add the elusive eighth trophy to its collection,” GiantX said in a press release.
The Superliga for 2025 will feature ten teams, including BarƧa Esports, Guasones, Los Heretics, LUA Gaming, Movistar Koi, Ramboot Club, Ucam Esports, Veni Vidi Vici, and Zeta, competing across three splitsāwinter, spring, and summer.
The LVP, part of Grupo Mediapro, has introduced changes to the Superligaās format for 2025. The updated calendar will be released soon, setting the stage for another season.
